Seeing how our season has gone so far, there is only one long-term option for the Nets: rebuild. As we have no first rounders for the forseeable future, we should look to trade our assets to teams that should have high picks in the lottery.
Trade 1: Dwill for Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson +2014 1st rounder http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=krx4o8y )
This trade would get us two young players with a lot of upside in Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis, in addition to a first rounder.
Trade 2: Lopez for Kyrie and Jarrett Jack +2014 1st rounder http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mwplp8f
This trade is the most likely to happen IMO because the Cavs are likely to be looking for a new center because of the situation with Bynum. The only player we have that can match Kyrie's value is Brook, as we would have already traded Dwill away.
There would likely be additional trades during the rebuilding process, and I could see Pierce being traded to a contender searching for veteran leadership, although I'm not sure who exactly that would be. Anyways, these are just my thoughts, feedback is welcome in the comments section.
