Best destination for Deron Williams: Charlotte Bobcats

It seems like rebuilding the team is inevitable and the first domino to fall should be Deron Williams. Looking around the league, the destination options are limited. This is how I see the state of the league right now:

Teams with better point guards:

  1. LA Clippers: Chris Paul
  2. Chicago Bulls: Derrick Rose
  3. Oklahoma City Thunder: Russel Westbrook
  4. Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry
  5. San Antonio Spurs: Tony Parker
  6. Cleveland Cavaliers: Kyrie Irving
  7. Portland Trailblazers: Damian Lillard
Better value point guards:
  1. Celtics: Rajon Rondo
  2. Washington Wizards: John Wall
  3. Atlanta Hawks: Jeff Teague
  4. Memphis Grizzlies: Mike Conley
  5. New Orleans Hornets: Jrue Holiday
  6. Denver Nuggets: Ty Lawson
Rebuilding teams:
  1. Utah Jazz
  2. Miwaukee Bucks
  3. Philadelphia 76ers
  4. Orlando Magic
  5. Toronto Raptors
No picks/young players/expiring contracts to offer:
  1. Dallas Mavericks
  2. LA Lakers
  3. Minnesota Timberwolves
  4. Miami Heat
  5. Indiana Pacers
Hated rival
  1. New York Knicks
The remaining options
  1. Charlotte Bobcats
  2. Phoenix Suns
  3. Sacramento Kings
  4. Detroit Pistons
  5. Houston Rockets
Of the remaining options, I think the best choice is the Charlotte Bobcats for the following reasons:
  1. Michael Jordan doesn't have the best track record of making good roster moves.
  2. Charlotte has difficulty attracting free agents.
  3. They're making a big marketing splash with their name change back to the Hornets.
  4. Kemba Walker is too undersized to continue as the starting point guard.
  5. Deron's 57 point game was against the Bobcats in Charlotte.
  6. Going for a big playoff push. Currently the fifth seed and owe their 2014 first round pick to Chicago (protected 1-10).
  7. Have $18.2 million in expiring contracts (Ben Gordon @13.2 and Ramon Sessions @5) to match Deron's $18.4 million contract.
  8. Many assets to trade: Portland's 2014 first round draft pick (protected 1-12), Detroit's 2014 first round draft pick (protected 1-8), Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo and Michael Kidd-Gilchrest.
Getting out of Deron's contract while getting 2-3 of those assets is probably the best return we can get for Deron, especially with the quality at the point guard position in the league nowadays.
