Below is a poll asking which is the worst of Nets basketball in recent years. My input:
12-70 Tank For Wall: As painful as it was, being the laughing stock of the NBA wasn't really anything new to me as a long time New Jersey Nets fan. Watching the Nets lose 18 straight, and seeing on ESPN fans with bags over their heads was terrible. The funny part about it, that was the most national coverage we had gotten EVER. Probably even more than the championship days. That season I wondered every game if this team would actually ever win one. BUT we knew were were going to stink, so really expectations were for after the season, John Wall which we all know didn't happen.
Choke Against The Bulls: Personally, watching us run all over the Bulls in game one going nuts with the crowd I thought we had it in the bag. No Rose, no worries right? WRONG. I hated the fact that the ESPN pundits were correct. 1st round exit. I'll never forget the moment on the train ride home looking out the window, just wondering how the hell did this happen? How could one coach be so terrible at adjusting? How could these pros make millions and not give a dam? That could be the favorite for me in this poll.
Expecting The Unexpected 3-10 Start: This is a given for all who have been watching. This is not a championship team. This is not a playoff basketball team. Hell, right now the heart they're showing it doesn't even look like a profession basketball team. This may hurt the most because of the expectations we have. We've got a long season left, but if we don't turn it around soon, it's going to get away from us completely. Oh yeah and let me add the fact that makes this worse: No tanking for Wiggins! Hope they enjoy him in Boston!
Curious to see what you all vote for, maybe some of you can post your reasoning behind. Go Nets, hopeful for good times ahead.
