LeBron likely OUT vs Nets Friday

Maddie Meyer

LeBron James most likely will not play when the Nets and Heat match up for the second time in as many weeks and each team's preseason finale.

James sat out the Heat's Saturday night victory over the Spurs, but plans to play the Pelicans before likely sitting out once again on Friday. In Miami's loss to Brooklyn this past Thursday, James scored 15 points on with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

LeBron told Heat beat writers why he is sitting out, saying it's "just maintenance" and that "it's OK for LeBron to take a one off."

The two team's will then play for a third time in three weeks on November 1 when the Nets make their regular season home debut.
