Kevin Garnett could be the solution

With the season ending injury to Rondo many believe that the Celtics will brake up their team in an effort to start rebuilding. Celtic front office has flirted with trading members of their big 3 in the past. With Allen leaving for Miami and Rondo going down for the remainder of this season and part of the next, this may cause the front office to start the rebuilding process soon than expected.

I am not an expert in salary cap math but Kevin Garnett's contract is 3 year at 34 million. A trade that includes Humphries, Taylor, and Brooks(maybe Toko instead of Brooks) and picks may interest the Celtics. Hump's contract expiring at the end of next season will offer them some cap flexibility. The the other two in the trade will provide young talent in spots where they have a void. With Rondo out Taylor will get minutes and with Marshon can take the Jason Terry minutes.

KG will provide everything we are missing in a PF. He can spread the floor bc of his ability to shoot from 18 feet. He sets solid almost illegal screens to free guys up and create more motion in the offense. He can play the pick and roll or pick and pop game. He is great very good defender. He has the toughness and heart that this team seems to lack at at times.

Rondo's injury report is less than 24 hours old but if I'm Billy King I'd make the call.
