Oh the DRAFT...

I know we're busy talking about trade targets, and the team is actually winning. But, just for the sake of fun, I thought I'd mention a few names (realistic, and unrealistic) that we should probably think about as potential draft targets. This is way early. And doesn't have much value. But, as we talk about Gerald Wallace, Millsap, Hump, AK-47, etc. it'd be good to keep an eye on who is out there in this years draft, to add to the puzzle.

With 15 guys on the roster, and Bogs a possibility, and our desire to bring Blatche back. I'm going to go out on a limb and say, Stackhouse is as good as gone. With Damion James, and Bogans, we might hang onto one of them, but certainly not both. So, we're looking at buying our way up in the 1st round, and maybe adding another Eurostash, I think. Here are a list at some targets, and what I like about them.

James Michael MacAdoo: 6'9", 225 pound combo forward. About 10 lbs of muscle shy of AK-47's size. Athletic with a 7'1" wingspan. Strong rebounder, and even a good ball handler, that can help us get out in transition and push the pace. He can back up SF, and play PF. With some development could fill a future need at both positions in a couple of years.

Alex Poythras: 6'8", 235 pound combo forward. Another athlete with a 7'1" wingspan. Poythras has a bit more ability to stretch the floor with his shooting, and as such is probably more of a 3 than a 4. But, he can also run the floor and finish at the rim, for those missing Gerald Green. His length allows him to play inside as well. With his length and athleticism, he should be able to defend on the wing immediately, and hit an open jumper. In time, and with some added muscle, he should be able to assist inside as well. I'd love to get this guy.

Tony Mitchell: 6'8", 235 pound combo forward. Mitchell can play the 3 a bit, but he's definitely more of a PF. With a 7'3" wing span, and some skills, he can be a very high upside player.

Rudy Golbert: 6'11" 225 lbs, with a 7'9" wingspan. International prospect, and shot blocker. I don't know how quick his feet are, but he could be a nice presence inside with Lopez, to protect the rim.

CJ Leslie: 6'9", 205 lbs, 7'1" wingspan. Combo/Forward and athlete. He's long, quick, and an explosive leaper. He can run the floor, as well as anyone, and finish at the rim. He should be able to rebound and defend immediately. If he were 30 pounds stronger, and could shoot, he'd be perfect. But, he can't. Either way, he'd help us.

There are more...but there are a number of players that fit both need, and something we might be able to trade up into. We still need to see where Hump's contract takes us, but there are a number of players that can contribute immediately.
