Critics Plan Opening Night Protests

A coalition of groups opposed to Bruce Ratner's plan for Atlantic Yards will gather at Barclays Center and online on September 27-28 to protest Opening Night at what they call the "Crime Scene." The series of events will begin with a candlelight vigil outside the arena at 7 p.m. the night before, followed by a press conference at 11 a.m. the next day and then "pop-up actions" throughout the afternoon.
