The Springfield Armor will hold open tryouts on September 22, at the PNY Center in East Rutherford, NJ, and on October 21, at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. For a $150 registration fee, players can lace them up and do their best to earn an invite to the Nets D-League affiliate's training camp in mid-November.

Last season, local tryouts were limited to the first 125 registrants. The Armor is expected to post details about the open tryouts early this week. Local tryouts are the last step in the D-League stocking process before the D-League draft the first week of November. The Armor have a strong track record of finding players through open tryouts. Five players have made the Armor’s opening night roster through open tryouts.
