Brooklyn Nets
Stefan Bondy writes about the Nets big change, the 180 degree turn, not just from New Jersey to Brooklyn, but from suburban to urban, from Bon Jovi to Jay-Z.
Bondy tells the story of Tyshawn Taylor on Draft Night, how his first thought after filling a life-long dream was that he going to Jay-Z's team. He's not alone. The Nets aren't just cool, they're hip-hop cool.
"The hip hop element automatically comes because of Jay Z," Taylor says. "I definitely think it has that feel. With being in Brooklyn and New York, I think it just has that hip hop feel automatically. Plus, we have the best apparel – black and white."
