Front Court Minutes

Hey Guys I have been a long time follower and finally sacked up and got and account to post on Netsdaily. I havebeen a fan ever since the Marbury days (when Marbury used to knock down 3's from the N letter in continental airlines arena). Anyway, I am sad to see us move from New Jersey but pumped for the move, hype and new arena.

I am confident that we are a playoff team and hopefully a top 4 seed in the east but I am very worried about our front court depth. We lack the big bodies inside that make wing players scared to cross into the paint. Guys like Garnett, Howard, Ibaka, Duncan are big bodies that are formidable on the defense end. Lopez does not have the lateral quickness nor the defense positioning knowledge to become a threat. (Do I have to replay the game 2 years ago where wade dunked on top of Lopez 3 times!) With Lopez as our only 7footer and anemic defensively, I am unsure how far we get in the playoffs. I know evans and hump provide rebounding presence down low, but they are not that great defensively. I really think we should have added a 611-7 footer (camby type) who can block shots and make players second guess about coming into the paint.

With this is mind, I wonder how Avery decides to do the front-court rotation. Lopez is coming off an injury-plagued season so I do not know if he can play over 35 minutes a game. Who would do you think will be the first off the bench? Will Avery put in Blatche or will he not be ready to man the middle? What about teletovic and his scoring ability (defensively liability perhaps) or Evans the bruiser? I think teletovic and lopez complement eachother very nicely and allow us to spread the floor but I dont think a frontline with Teletovic and Hump will be big enough in the post. I would enjoy any input on how you think avery will rotate the big guys around.

Cant wait for the season to tip off!
