John Schuhmann tries to make sense of the Atlantic Division, using deep stats analysis. With so many of the division teams making big chance, none more than the Nets, he admits it's difficult.
Still, with the Nets, he offers this: "Deron Williams has never played with a wing scorer like Joe Johnson, and Johnson hasn't played with a dynamic point guard like Williams since he left Phoenix seven years ago. The two should make each other's lives easier."
Specifically, he notes how both players made their teams better last year. The Nets and Hawks "true shooting percentage" was significantly higher with them on the floor. "Both players make their teammates more efficient."
