Nets Meeting Childress Tuesday

Billy King and Avery Johnson will meet with Josh Childress Tuesday and work him out as the Nets seek what could be their final piece a back-up small forward. Childress was amnestied by the Suns in July, with $21 million still to be paid the 6'9" vet. The Arizona Republic recently described Childress as having "worked hard and ... an ideal teammate, but he did not put a dent of impact on the standings for Phoenix." It also called his defense "overrated."
