New York State's latest bi-weekly Construction Alert details what's left to be done before Barclays Center will be finished.
With less that three weeks to go, here's some of what's still on the list: interior finishes, meaning masonry, gypsum board and millwork; installation of the perforated metal wall paneling in the main concourse; parking lot paving; delivery of the remaining kitchen and concessions equipment; as well as fire, health and general building inspections and "final cleaning."
One piece of news: the Transit Connection will have a "soft opening" on Friday. Green roof and fascia waterproofing and panel installation is now complete. A token booth is being installed as are MetroCard Vending Machines.
