The great burnt sienna beast

Rising shiny new penny

Bursting 3-D

From rail yard craters

Reflections and refractions

Points of contention and distraction

Rising amid the noise and traffic

Rising above clickety-clack

And screetch

Above rat tunnels

humans running rat races

Brooklyn reborn on hardwood

Windows into the soul of rebirth

Washing 55 years of bad taste

Like rain flooding the streets

Turning red-stitched baseballs

To great orange pumpkin balls

Squeezing through peach bushels

Into the rising landscape

Brooklyn reborn brownstone and limestone

Old brick towers winking

Glass and granite and steel speaking

We rise in fever pitch

Our own team our own home

Loud and Proud

We rise a mass of colors and cultures

We rise as many

We rise as one
