Tom Haberstoh, ESPN's stats geek, gives his opinion on what will likely be a topic discussion right up to 7 p.m. on the night of November 1, who's better, Nets or Knicks?
Breaking it down statistically, Haberstroh says it's Brooklyn, but reaches his conclusion a bit oddly. He picks J.R. Smith over Joe Johnson at SG, saying JJ is likely to decline quickly; takes Kris Humphries over Amare Stoudemire, saying Stat's decline is already well underway; and goes with Brook Lopez over Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler.
The rest is predictable, Deron Williams over Raymond Felton; Carmelo Anthony over Gerald Wallace and the Nets' young bench over the Knicks' very much over-the-hill gang. He adds, "don't sleep on Mirza Teletovic."
