Will the Nets uniforms be unveiled Opening Night of the Barclays Center? Early Tuesday, an announcement on the Nets Store stated that indeed Sept. 28 was the date. Then, later, the announcement was changed to "Coming in September" and team officials said it had been "mistaken" (although the team has not been shy about saying the unveiling will take place in late September)

Rumors persist of a tie-in between the unveiling and Jay-Z taking the stage that night. Jay-Z has had a role in a number of big events as the Nets transition from New Jersey to Brooklyn. He was the featured speaker at the Barclays Center ground-breaking in March 2010; then announced that the Nets would be named the "Brooklyn Nets" at a September 2011 press conference. He was not on hand for the unveiling of the Nets logos in April but the Nets made clear that he had an "instrumental" roles in the design.
