In the opening round of the FIBA Eurobasket Qualifying Tournament, Mirza Teletovic kept shooting and his Bosnian squad beat Latvia, 87-84 before 7,000 fans in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo.

Teletovic finished with 24 points and eight rebounds, but shot 8-for-26 overall, 1-for-5 from deep. He had two assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 37 minutes.

Teletovic helped turned the tide in the tight game, hitting his lone three-pointer with 3:38 left, giving the Bosnians a 78-77 lead, then followed with a jumper 45 seconds later.

On Saturday, Teletovic, Toko Shengelia, Bojan Bogdanovic and Ilkan Karaman will all be in action.
