Mirza Teletovic scored 33 points in Bosnia's 91-81 "friendly" game vs. Portugal Friday, the final warm-up for the Eurobasket Qualifying Tournament.
In the "friendly" games over the last two weeks, Teletovic has averaged better than 25 points a game in "friendly" tournaments, one of three Nets who were their national team's high scorer in the warm-ups. Tornike Shengelia of Georgia and Bojan Bogdanovic of Croatia both averaged 19 per game.
Eurobasket begins this week. Thursday, Bosnia plays Latvia. Two days later, Georgia plays Romania, Croatia plays Cyprus and Turkey (Ilkan Karaman) plays Belarus. A total of 31 teams are competing for 16 spots in Eurobasket 2013 next summer.
On Saturday, Turkey was pummeled by Poland, with Marcin Gortat dominating Semih Erden in a battle of NBA centers. Ilkan Karaman, the Nets second round pick, came off the bench and scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
