The Dwightmare is over!! After over a year of rumors, anonymous sources, etc. we can now focus on our team. We now know Brook Lopez will remain a Net and a key piece of our team going forward.

Let's appreciate that we have a 24 year old center who has avergaqed 17 ppg, shoots 50% from the field, and 80% from the free throw line. We have a player who has never complained, even when he was the focus of trade rumors . We have a player who has wanted to remain a Net.. He could have signed an offer sheet with Charlotte out of spite, but instead has been 100% loyal to the team that was not always loyal to him.

Brook needs to improve some aspects of his game. Most 24 year olds need to improve and are not complete players. With a complete team around him, I expect great things out of him and know he will do great.

Anyhow, as a long time Net fan (who has become much more optimistic), I am happy to have Brook going forward. I want players that battle and that want to be on our team. Brook doesnt want Brooklyn for the money, girls, or fame. He just wants to ball. And I'm glad we have him.
