It appears that Jay-Z will be everywhere the first week of October. He's got eight concerts scheduled to open Barclays center, starting September 28, Opening Night of the arena. Also on October 2, NBA2K13 gets released...with him as "executive producer." Nobody's saying what the job entails, but it's likely to be creative and it can't hurt the Nets to have him once again front and center on a big project. Jay-Z announced the move on his own website, "Life and Times."
