Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Nets will work a sign-and-trade with the Clippers to acquire Reggie Evans, the 6'8" rebounding machine (and offensive black hole).
The Nets will tuck Evans into the $3 million trade exception obtained in the Gerald Wallace trade. Woj reports the deal will be worth $5 million over three years.
Evans, 32, is one of the NBA's best per minute rebounders. Last year, for example, as a back-up to Blake Griffin, he averaged nearly five rebounds in only 14 minutes. Two years ago, playing in Toronto, he averaged 11.5 rebounds, a career high, while playing only 26.8 minutes. Offensively he is extremely limited, averaging only 1.9 points last season.
