I know Billy King said that he's basically done revamping the roster and that the necessity to find a backup center is overblown, but I disagree. I also disagree with the "Nets are scorching" article that defends billy king.
Here is my opinion.
Fesenko was a teammate of Deron Williams when they both were on the Jazz. I think for what is available for Center, he would be the best pickup. So Hump, tele and Evans can all play their tradition PF roles.
I personally do not like having an undersized center for a backup. Nets should only have an undersized center if there are too many injuries to our big men, but it should be used as a last resort or just strategically if it is advantageous in certain games against certain teams.
Here is the link to a youtube clip that shows his decent offensive moves as well as some good defensive blocks (one against blake griffin) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzrDewjv8kM
If you watch the video, he is a jokster (although is jokes maybe bad) but he is good for the locker room. And like Toko, I think he will work hard to prove himself and I bet he'll be a fan favorite. He shows he has some offensive moves on the post. He might be the best undervalued over look backup center. And did I mention he played with Deron so there will be chemistry between them. I think Nets should push hard to get him.
I know we are looking at Josh Howard, and if we get him, thats great, but I think getting a center is a much more pressing issue than is a SF. We have Wallace, Toko, and for a third string, we have stackhouse, and bogans. Even JJ can play the 3. He is 6'8".
