Springfield Armor coach Bob MacKinnon has been renewed for another year, the Nets announced Wednesday. MacKinnon, a veteran college and international coach, led the Armor to a record-setting season last year.

The Armor compiled a 29-21 record during the 2011-12 regular season, a league-record 16-win improvement over the 2010-11 season. The Armor captured the league’s Eastern Division championship and earned the franchise’s first-ever playoff berth under MacKinnon’s direction.

Milton Lee said MacKinnon created, "a culture of professionalism, competitiveness and accountability both on and off the court."
