Of all the members of Team USA, Deron Williams is the only one with real experience playing the international game, under FIBA rules. His time in Turkey, with Besiktas Milingaz last season, gives him and his team an advantage.

"I definitely think it helped me," he tells Jorge Sierra of Hoopshype. "I don't know how much of an advantage I have. I think it helped me to play over there for four months and get a steady dose of the international game."

He also spoke about the Nets' spending spree in free agency. Asked if he was surprised, he replied, "I knew they wanted to be aggressive, that they are willing to commit to win."
