The last time NBA.com ranked rookies, it was the first day of the Las Vegas Summer League and there was a small sample to choose from. Still, Tyshawn Taylor, the #41 pick was ranked #1 on the Rookie Ladder, based on his performance in Orlando. Taylor was the top scorer among first year players at 15.5 ppg. Now, even with most of the Vegas games done, Drew Packham thinks Taylor deserves to be among the top rookies.
He ranks Taylor #6, behind only Damian Lillard among point guards and ahead of a number of lottery picks, some of whom had their flaws exposed during the Vegas games.
