I have a few ideas for the PF issue that the Nets are apparently having, but this is the best one I came up with and I would like to share it with you all.
This would completely close the door on Dwight Howard for good but I think that this is the road worth taking if we want depth and to get closer to a chip.
Try trade for Joakim Noah
This could work for two reasons.
1 - Noah can play the 4 also is the defensive anchor that we have been looking for. He is young and enthusiastic also.
With a package of S & T Hump on a one year deal, with 1 or at max two first round picks, also maybe a filler player. I think this deal would work.
He can slide to the 5 when teletovic comes in and can play next to Evans at the 4 or 5 depending on what is necessary.
2- Chicago would do this I believe because Noah's value is quite low with his performances over the past season and a half. The bulls were giving last quarter crunch time minutes to gibson and Asik over Noah and Boozer. This would then allow the bulls to match Asik with Hump on an expiring deal.
Problem with this deal!
This would then allow the window to open massively for the Bulls to get Dwight Howard. With Hump on an expiring deal and the picks the Nets give to Chicago as well as their own package this could be what Orlando are looking for. Also means Dwight Howard may be a Bull and it would have been with the help of us, which is not what Nets would've even visioned in their worst nightmares.
Conclusion for Nets.
We get the not so offensive minded player we are looking for with a terrific edge for defense and enthusiasm that we are desperately looking for. Hump can provide this for us to a certain degree, being a fan favorite and all, but I think adding Noah at the 4 would be exactly what is needed for us to get to the top.
Feel free to criticize. This is what I think is viable and may work!
