The lettering for Barclays Center has been trucked in, ready to be installed. The "halo" around the front of the arena is nearly done and the canopy and oculus at the entrance plaza are taking shape. The Transit Connection in front of the arena is expected to be complete next month. It's been a while, with all the basketball news, that we've taken a look at what's going on.

That doesn't mean the news has stopped. Reggie Evans and Mirza Teletovic tried out the practice court this week. And there's a new sponsor, SONY, which will provide more than 600 Sony professional and consumer HD screens throughout the billion dollar arena. There will be a construction progress update later this week. Completion is scheduled for September 5.
