Joe Johnson apparently ignited something in Carmelo Anthony Friday when he said the Nets are "definitely" the best team in New York because Melo has responded.
"I hear they're talking trash, but we'll be ready for the challenge," Anthony told ESPNDeportes.com's Marly Rivera at an event in Washington D.C., where he and Deron Williams are training for the Olympics "I haven't looked at the schedule, but when that game happens we will be ready."
The schedule, of course, hasn't been released yet, although it will be soon. As Brooklyn native and Knick fan Spike lee has said, the first Nets-Knicks game at Barclays Center will be "war." That said, one man's trash talk is another man's truth.
