MarShon, Toko Lead Nets To Win

Stay connected for news and updates

Marshon Brooks, after a week filled with trade rumors, finally broke out in the Orlando Summer League, tying the league record with 34 points on 13-for 27 shooting as the Nets beat the Indiana Pacers in the league finale, 90--77. Toko Shengelia once again played well, finishing with 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting, four steals and three blocks.

After dominating most of the game, the Nets had to fend a late rally by the Pacers, led by Lance Stephenson (of Brooklyn). Indiana got as close as four before Brooks took over the game, something he hadn't done early in the week. Jeff Foote finished with a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds).

In talking about his teammates in a post-game interview with Rick Kamla and Dennis Scott, Brooks said the biggest thing he learned this week was "Tyshawn (Taylor) and Toko can play!"
