Nets Gave Up Second Rounder for Johnson
In addition to the 2013 lottery protected Rockets pick, the Nets gave up a 2017 second rounder in the Joe Johnson trade, league sources report. So the final version of the deal is Johnson for Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar, Jordan Williams, Johan Petro and DeShawn Stevenson, plus the 2013 lottery protected Rockets first rounder and the 2017 Nets second rounder. The NBA objected to the original deal because the Rockets pick would have become a second rounder in 2017 if lottery protections kept the Hawks from exercising it. So the Nets added the 2017 second rounder.
