The rosters (and payrolls!) are almost complete. A tweak here and there and within a few days, the Nets and Knicks will look much like the teams that will battle in Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden during preseason. Deron Williams and Joe Johnson vs. Jeremy Lin and J.R. Smith; Carmelo Anthony vs. Gerald Wallace.
So who's looking better as the smoke clears? A couple of writers try their hand at the individual and overall match-ups. There's no real consensus yet, but one thing is clear. There's a lot riding on it. While both organizations publicly state it's great that there's now a real New York rivalry, there is real animosity out there.
