Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer tweets that Antawn Jamison is indeed interested in joining the Nets. The 36-year-old is also interested in the Lakers and told Bonnell that "he's still gathering info."
Unless the Cavaliers, who he played for last season, are interested in a sign-and-trade, the Nets would be hard-pressed to sign him since all they have to spend now is a vets minimum of $1.35 million. The Nets would presumably have to give up a pick or another asset in the deal.
Jamison averaged 17.2 points and 6.2 rebounds last season, missing one game, but he only hit a career low 40.1% from the floor.
