The Nets will be rolling out their new "Brooklyn Backcourt" Friday with a noon press conference and a party at Brooklyn Borough Hall, then a visit to the Big Ball Park in The Bronx as they try to take advantage of the publicity that's come with their free agency success.

First at noon, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson will be introduced at Borough Hall. They will be broadcast live by YES and streamed at brooklynnets.com. Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel will host. On stage will be the two players, Billy King and Avery Johnson. Once the presser is done, there will be public "celebration" starting at 1 p.m.

That night, Johnson and Johnson invade the Bronx for a meet-and-greet with Joe Girardi at the batting practice cage, assorted photo ops and interviews. Joe will throw out the first pitch, the first by a Net since Jason Kidd a decade ago. Avery will be joining the Bleacher Creatures for the traditional Roll Call of Yankee starters. D-Will would have attended as well but he's got another commitment - Team USA.

It's starting.
