As the off-season progressed, it started to become clear that there were those who didn't want Hump on the team next season. Last season, the overwhelming majority of fans loved his hustle, clear improvement in shooting, and the way he battled despite all the boos. Management then started leaking hints that Hump wasn't coming back, and many believe that it's because Deron doesn't want him on the team.

Arguments against Hump mention his BBIQ and limited defense. Some might claim his salary demands are too high, but without an offer from another team, he has no leverage there and won't get an expensive contract.

There are also points made about his outside "celebrity image". I have some strong opinions about this topic, but I'll leave them for the comments section.
