Peter Vecsey reports Wednesday night that Gerald Green is leaving the Nets for the Indiana Pacers. Green had said during the season that he would take less money to stay with the Nets, but Brooklyn could only offer him a deal at $1.2 million.
Pacers beat writer Mike Wells reports that Indiana is expected to offer Green $10 million over three years.
In 31 games with the Nets last season, Green averaged 12.9 points, mostly off the bench. He shot 48 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range.
