Blessing In Disguise?

When Dwight opted in for the last year on his contract everyone thought it was the worst thing in the world, we all hated it. Billy panicked and traded for Wallace etc. etc.
People still criticise D12 because he'd already be in Brooklyn, which is totally understandable too.

However, I think it was a blessing in disguise for him to opt in.
If the Nets had traded for him in March, there'd be no G.Wallace on the Nets, that pick would've gone to Orlando.
Having to sign up DWill and D12 in the off-season would've probably stopped any thought of trading for JJ. He was only targeted to stop DWill leaving, which wouldn't have been needed if D12 was a Net.

So the Nets would be heading into this off season with 2 max players and not much room to move. I doubt they'd be able to pick up players on the level of Wallace and JJ in trades and FA after locking up DWill and D12.

Having said that, what do you guys think the team would've looked like heading into next season if we got D12 in March? and do you think it'd be better than DWill, D12, JJ and GWall?
