The Dallas Morning News website is asking its readers to write letters to Deron Williams telling him why he should play for the Mavericks next season. Readers are asked, in a misspelled appeal, to:

POST YOUR LETTER TO DERON AND TELL HIM WHY HE SHOULD COME TO DALLAS BELOW IN OUR COMMENS SECTION.

"It could be the weather, the economy or no state income tax,' writes an anonymous editor. "It could be coming home, good food, or the ban on large sodas in New York City." The Morning News promises to "highlight the best comments over the next few weeks."

Among the first "letters", one from an Ole Miss student: "Sign with Mavs, buy awesome house in gated part of Castle Hills (2 miles south of The Colony) for the price of an apartment in NY you can buy a 6000 sq ft home that is decked out, pay no State income taxes, play with Dirk, win at least one NBA championship, make Dallas a long term winner."
