David Aldridge follows up on Marc Stein and Chad Ford's story about Houston's interest in Dwight Howard by quoting a "source with knowledge of Howard’s thinking" saying there is "no chance" the Orlando center would sign an extension with the Rockets.
Aldridge writes that the Rockets are indeed serious. "One league source said the Rockets hoped to make deals for the additional Draft picks using existing players, so they would have as many as four first-rounders they could put in a package to Orlando for Howard."
But it won't work, says Aldridge's source, no doubt a member of Team Howard. Howard still wants out of the Magic and is being pursued by two teams he has had on his preferred list: the Nets and Mavericks.
