Hoopshype ranks 187 free agents, "from Deron Williams to Cory Higgins", Monday and Brooklyn is listed as a "possible destination" for five players and that doesn't include the Nets own free agents. It may just be that there are more early rumors about the Nets, but no other team is listed more times as a possible destination. Chicago is also listed five times.

Kevin Garnett's "possible destinations" are listed as Brooklyn and San Antonio. Brooklyn is also listed as a landing spot for Andrei Kirilenko, Ersan Ilyasova, Nenad Krstic and Mirza Teletovic. Only Teletovic has another destination listed: Cleveland.

Hoopshype doesn't list a player's current team among his possible destinations.

As for Williams, Hoopshype writes "the best spot for him is right where he is in Brooklyn. The opportunity to play in New York and help the Nets become a winner would validate his career." Brook Lopez's injury concerns drop him to No. 16 in the rankings and Hoopshype suggests, "Using him in a sign-and-trade could be an option." As for Gerald Wallace, Hoopshype says, "he is getting older" but still lists him at the 11th most attractive free agent.
