NEW YORK - MAY 18: (EXCLUSIVE) Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov with cultural icon and Nets investor JAY-Z celebrate Prokhorov's purchase of the team at lunch today at JAY-Z's 40/40 club on May 18, 2010 in New York City. Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club will open a new location in Barclays Center. The $1 billion arena will house the 9,000 square-foot restaurant slated to debut on the arena’s opening night when Jay-Z performs in concert on September 28, 2012.

It will replicate his famed Manhattan location where he first met Mikhail Prokhorov.

"There is no better home for another 40/40 Club location than the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn," stated the Nets minority owner and director of the company that will run the arena. "The 40/40 Club has revolutionized restaurants in a way I anticipate Barclays Center to transform the arena watching experience."

The 40-40 Club will be separate from the Armand de Brignac Champagne Bar at the Vault, the Jay-Z designed suites, and the Calvin Klein Courtside Club. Nets season ticket holders have first crack at reservations for the new 40/40 Club, but it isn’t limited to patrons splurging big bucks for luxury suites — unlike the other VIP lounges at the arena.
