Deron Williams has hurt the Nets more than he has helped !

I am getting tired of reading these type of articles..... Will he stay, Will he leave......

In my opinion, Deron has hurt the NETS much more than he has helped.

Deron so far has lacked the courage and Vision to commit. He has HURT the team he says he wan't to improve. He wants a Lebron. No pressure to step up and he wants to have everyone else (owners) do the work and take the fall if it doesn't pan out.

Look what happened with OKC. 3 or 4 years past the move, they are challenging for a title and favored over the Lebrons. The stars didn't whine and say , oh, put some good players around me and I will stay.

Look what Lebron did. So far no success. Had he went to the Knicks, he would be king and had he delivered a ring, even bigger. Now he is considered a whimp and one of the most hated players in history. Not to be put in the same class as Michael Jordan, who DID rise up to the challenge.

Had Deron had the guts to say, yes, I will stay and bring Brooklyn a championship, he would have .....

Owned Brooklyn....

Howard would probably be here ....

Wallace would probably have stayed for sure .....

and who knows how all those European players would work out.

Now he is forcing management into bad decisions who are just as at fault as he is for allowing this. It is a privilege to represent a team and have the ability and the chance to be a leader. That is where greatness comes from. Management must realize that and target players that have the same ideal.

Personally, I wouldn't mind having Steve Nash and other players that might want to rise to the challenge. The only problem is we have sunk so much into these players, letting them go for nothing would be a huge hit. The GM and coach have to answer directly for those problems and if it doesn't work out, take the blame. Likewise, if it does work out, they will get the credit, but in my opinion no matter what happened, they gambled too much on players that don't have it in them to be GREAT.
