So since we have so many, "What will happen in the offseason", posts on the threads, I decided to join in on the fun. As I said this is a pipe dream but all these moves are completely plausible with alot of luck, maneuvering and a strong and determined FO. And as I mentioned in the title all these potential outcomes include the fact that we land anthony davis which the biggest pipe dream of them all.

I'll start with the most farfetched one first,

SF- Andrei Kirlenko - Al Thornton
SG- Gerald Green - C.J. Miles - Bogan Bogdanovic

Farmar opts out

Nets trade the number 1 pick, the Huston first, Marshon Brooks, Jordan Williams and Gerald Wallace for Dwight and Duhon

Nets then sign and trade Brook Lopez, Ammo and a Nets 2015 1st for Josh Smith

Nets then sign Kirlenko (3 yrs, 24 Million), Green (4 years 17 million), Teletovic ( 3 years, 9 million),
Odom (a Prove it contract of 1 yr, 5 million), Bogdanovic ( 2 years, 5.5 million), Semih Erden (mini-MLE)
everybody else veteran's minimum

This would put us at or near 60-65 mill and the next and final move would be to sign one Deron Williams effectively putting us at about 80+ million cap.


Here's #2 very unlikely pipe dream scenario

Farmar opts in

Morrow and Petro + future first to Minnesota bc they love prototypical centers =) and they need a shooter, we get a conditional pick

Nets then sign Garnett ( 2 years, 17 mill), Allen (2 years, 13 mill), Green (4 years 17 million), Teletovic ( 3 years, 9 million), Bogdanovic ( 2 years, 5.5 million), Semih Erden mini-MLE, everybody else veteran's minimum

At this point the cap should be around 30-35 million sign Wallace to a 8 mill per year deal, Brook to a 10-12 mill per yr deal and Deron to the max and you should be between 70 mill or above but its not above by a whole lot.

Actually the only farfetched idea of this other than Davis landing here is the idea of Allen and Garnett being sold on Brooklyn and taking less money to come to play here. In hindsight I would probably rank this #3.This is probably also my fav scenario bc I personally would even go to battle with the backup squad. They look even better than the some of the trash we put out there last year at times.
