On ESPN Dallas radio and on its Dallas website, Deron and Amy Williams' travel has gotten notice. For weeks, and particularly after the Thunder's trashing of the Mavericks, Deron Williams has been held out as the hope of the franchise. It's been treated as a given in local sports reports that Mark Cuban would out-wrestle (but never out-kickbox) Mikhail Prokhorov for Williams' services
And while the Nets have officially been low-key about the Williams' travel to Turkey and Russia, it's made people, even one prospective teammate, nervous. "Last I heard he was partying overseas with Nets management, with Prokhorov and them," Brendan Haywood said of Williams Tuesday on ESPN Dallas Radio. "If he's leaning towards Dallas, he's got a funny way of showing it."
