MarShon Brooks, who was taken at #25 in the NBA Draft, then was third in scoring among rookies, has finished tenth in Rookie of the Year voting He received one second place vote and one third place vote. The Cavaliers Kyrie Irving won the award.
Brooks finished behind Irving, Ricky Rubio, Kenneth Faried, Kawhi Leonard, Iman Shumpert, Klay Thompson, Isaiah Thomas, Brandon Knight and Chandler Parsons. All but Thomas and Parsons were drafted ahead of Brooks. Brooks finished third in rookie scoring at 12.6 point per game in 56 games. He seemed to hit the rookie wall after recovering from a broken toe but at year's end, returned to form, averaging 14.2 points over the last ten games.
