Allen St. John is fascinated by Jeremy Lin. He's written in Forbes Magazine about potential trade pieces for Lin and about why the departure of Mike D'antoni signaled the end of LinSanity. Now, he's back with a modest proposal: the Nets should try to outbid the Knicks for Lin, offering him a long-term contract.

Deron Williams? St. John dismisses the Nets chances of keeping him with one line. "They’ll likely be in desperate need of a point guard once incumbent All-Star Deron Williams signs elsewhere." So with that out of the way, St. John goes into a detailed analysis of why the pursuit makes sense for both sides.
