The Nets have sought trademark protection on three logos that are part of the team's Brooklyn identity, two of them described as the primary logos and a third, a simpler one described as secondary. The primary logos are the "Nets B Basketball" logo and the "Brooklyn B Basketball" logo. The third is known as the "B" logo, the letter B on a shield. All three have been fashioned into Brooklyn Nets gear.

Meanwhile, a designer who works with Jay-Z (and came up with the "Blueprint for Greatness")has posted some earlier renderings, one of which was trademarked, then abandoned.
