I think I can speak for most fans on this site that I became a Nets fan because of Jason Kidd. I had just arrived in New York when Kidd got traded, and the next three years of Nets Basketball really cemented my status as a fan of the New Jersey Nets. Now that he has a chance to come back, I think us fans need to show our love for Jason and really demand that he gets signed by Billy King. A petition or a facebook page would be a great idea, as long as enough people are down to put their names on the list; Jason Kidd needs to retire a Net! (even though we're in Brooklyn now). Plus his veteran leadership and toughness is exactly what we were missing last year, evidenced by our semi-resurgence when Gerald Wallace got traded here.
