The front page (front page!) of the Daily News, at least in Brooklyn, carries this headline about the Nets: "B'klyn bans boobs." No, it's not about Knick fans. Instead, the News had three (three!) of its writers report on how Hooters, known for its well-endowed waitresses, can't find a location for a bar that would cater to ... us, Nets fans.
As representatives of Hooters scour the area near Barclays Center for the perfect venue, "local moms say they are ready for battle" with one group tweeting "We will fight Hooters on all fronts!" Not everyone is opposed. Chapin Day, a 44-year-old Brooklyn resident who describes himself as unemployed, told the News, "You get good wings and beer cheap. I’m looking forward to it, actually."
