Deron Williams didn't speak with beat writers Friday, claiming,"I didn't want to get you guys sick.'' He's recovering from a stomach virus. He's probably said enough this week anyway. D-Will will start vs the Wizards, going up against John Wall.
Shelden Williams did talk and will start as well. He'll wear protective googles.
The victim of a Tyler Hansbrough elbow to his right eye, Williams said he initially feared that he'd lost sight in that eye. "I looked down at my hand, I couldn’t see out of my right eye. I thought I lost my right eye."
The Nets official injury report also says Billy King will update beat writers on Brook Lopez at 6:45 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, Keith Bogans was at the PNY Center Friday, wearing a boot on his surgically repaired foot. He's been getting rehab, attending games and the Nets did say he's be ready for training camp. Question is whose? He's an unrestricted free agent.
