As this is a key topic of conversation --- I say we end all speculation and just vote now and see who comes out the idiot in July. Since we don't know what BK and DWill and Wallace have said in private, let's agree on the following and end all speculation till we have the answer:
The trade was good if:
1. Deron stays --- there was a chance he'd stay anyway, but we have to assume he was part of the discussion for Wallace so if he stays, then it was a good trade. Doesn't matter if Wallace stays if Deron leaves
The trade was bad if:
1. Deron leaves whether Wallace stays or not
So let's hear it ... who thinks Deron leaves, who thinks he stays. That pretty much determines if the trade is bad.
*** I'm adding this because of the below comments. Whether Wallace is better or worse than a potential draftee is irrelevant because we could have had Wallace in the offseason if we gave him a long-term contract (which we would have to do now to keep him anyway). So you can not say Wallace > draft pick so therefore it's a good trade. If Deron told us he would be gone no matter what, we would have had wallace AND a draft pick. And please --- don't insult my intelligence with some ridiculous loyalty story of how Wallce will sign for less because he played 2 months on our team. That's a joke
